Thornbury

BS35

A picturesque market town in the Severn vale, 11 miles north of Bristol, with a traditional High Street and free parking around town.

Thornbury has a thriving arts scene, with an annual Arts Festival, Carnival and many other drama and music clubs and events. A new Arts and Community centre is planned.

The Thornbury in Bloom team brightens up the town, and Thornbury has won several Britain in Bloom awards.

With the town charter dating back to 1252, there's lots of local history: see Thornbury and District Museum, Thornbury Roots and Images of Thornbury. There are many more Thornbury history groups and events.

The Town Council has a list of things to see and do, and here's more information on visiting Thornbury.
